• RAMP has learned of several major layoffs inside Cumulus Sports-Talk KNBR (680/104.5)/San Francisco — The San Francisco Chronicle reports that longtime morning co-host Paul “Pauly Mac” McCaffrey is out, along with producer Erik Engle, along with evening host and former MLB player F.P. Santangelo, who broke his own news Wednesday afternoon, via X: “I was informed today that due to budget cuts there will no longer be a 6-10pm show.” He’s right — the station is now airing CBS Sports Radio programming from 6-10pm as well as overnights. The status of Brian Murphy, McCaffrey’s co-host since 2005 is unclear, as is the status of the show’s Sr. Producer Markus Boucher.

Next week, from 12/4 to 12/8, is Winter Week 2023. The winter-themed dress-up days are:. According to the poll on our website, most students are most excited for “Anything but a Backpack Day”. Freshman Audrey Corbett said, “I’m most excited for this day because it sounds fun, and I’m excited to see what people come up with to use as a backpack.” Hailey Huffman also said she’s excited to see what other people come up with, but she’s also excited because it’s “different than previous themes.” However, the poll shows that other students are still most excited for other days, too. Freshman Carly Carbaugh said, “I’m most excited for Polar Express Day because I can wear PJs.” Others dress-up days are generating excitement, as well. JOne junior said she she’s most excited for Holiday Character Day because she “wants to be Santa and put my Christmas hats to use.” Overall, students seem excited for all the dress-up days, so this year’s Winter Week could be wildly popular.
