Police are searching for the suspects responsible for breaking into the Ramsey BMW in Bergen County and stealing tires early Saturday morning.
Sales associate Andrew Araque says security footage captured a dark Porsche pulling up the dealership at around 3:30 a.m.
Two hooded individuals then emerged from the car and entered through the back of the parking lot holding flashlights.
One person stood by the Porsche as the two others returned with two car tires and fled the scene shortly before the arrival of police.
Araque says he is glad security cameras were able to record the incident.
“The crime is everywhere right now. Bergen County, Passaic County, everywhere. It's very sad that even with a locked gate, people will still get in. Thank God for the cameras,” he said.
Police say an investigation is ongoing and ask anyone with information to contact them.
As authorities and the dealership work to find the culprits, Araque says other cars dealerships should be cautious.
“We as dealerships, the car industry, we need to be more careful. Lock up the gates, have better camera equipment, make sure that there are wheel locks on the car too,” he said.
