Benton, KY man, 4 juveniles face burglary charges

LOWES, Ky. (KBSI) – A Benton man and four juveniles face charges after a burglary in Lowes.

On May 24, the Graves County Sheriff’s Office was made aware of a burglary had taken place at a building in the Lowes community on May 20.

Graves County Sheriff’s Sgt. Richard Edwards obtained video evidence of the burglary and identified a man and four juvenile suspects from the video.

The suspects were seen moving items from within the building to the door they were using to enter the building.

After a few minutes, the burglary alarm in the building activated and the suspects ran from the scene, only taking a few items they had stacked by the door, according to the sheriff’s office.

Three of the four juveniles in the video were identified as Graves County residents.

The man was identified as John L. Turner, 18 of Benton, Ky.

Turner and the fourth juvenile were found at an address in Marshall County on May 25.

During an interview, Turner admitted to entering the building, according to the sheriff’s office.

Turner was arrested and charged with burglary 3rd degree.

The juveniles were all released to guardians.

Turner was taken to the Graves County RC Center and later taken to an out of county facility.
