A man will spend up to more than two decades in prison for shooting at two people and attempting to rob another in a hotel in Bensalem two years ago.

On Friday, Ted Leroy Fosco, 58, with no fixed address, was sentenced to 11 to 22 years in state prison for a January 2021 shooting, according to the Bucks County District Attorney's Office.

Fosco was found guilty at trial in October of several offenses, including felony aggravated assault, robbery and carrying a firearm without a license.

Bensalem police said he fired a handgun at two people after an encounter near the lobby of Comfort Inn at 2779 Lincoln Highway just before 5 p.m. Jan. 27, 2021. Fosco nearly struck them, and he damaged furniture in the shooting, according to police.

A few minutes later, Fosco saw a juvenile male, and tried to rob him, according to the DA's office. He ran back to his room and locked the door. Fosco followed him and yelled at him to give up everything, before he fired a shot into the door, according to police.

Two other people were in the room at the time.
