Candidates aim to unseat Lowe, Davidson as OK County commissioners

Oklahoma County Commissioner Jason Lowe has drawn two opponents, and Commissioner Myles Davidson has attracted a second challenger for his seat, in next year's elections. Mark Faulk, 69, an Oklahoma City Democrat, longtime justice activist and critic of county government, especially the trust that runs the jail, has declared his candidacy against Lowe, also a Democrat, for the District 1 seat. Harry Meister, 61, of Oklahoma City, a U.S. Air Force veteran, 15-year broker with Bankers Insurance Group, former newspaper publisher, and county government auditor under former State Auditor and Inspector Clifton Scott, is also running as a Democrat against Lowe. He has served on numerous civic boards. District 1 includes most of northeast Oklahoma City, Del City, Forest Park, Jones, Lake Aluma, Midwest City, Nicoma Park, Spencer, and The Village.
