Man arrested in Paris for trying to run people over with car
PARIS, Texas (KXII) - A man was arrested in Paris for trying to run people over with his car while drunk. According to the Paris Police Department, Waverly Jeffery, 56, flagged down officers after they were dispatched to the 700 block of East Cherry for a disturbance call as he was leaving the area in a vehicle.

At 10:20 Wednesday night, officers responded to the 3800 block of Lamar Avenue regarding a theft. Store personnel had observed two male subjects, Heriangel Noe Rios (21) and Lauro Gonzalez (27), concealing numerous items. The two then walked past all payment points and tried to leave the store. The two were arrested and charged with Theft over $100.00 but under $750.00 and booked into the police department.

Dallas Man Arrested In Hopkins County On Identity Theft
On December 5, 2023, around 11:30 a.m., the Sulphur Springs Police Department responded to a potential case of identity theft at the Red River Credit Union. When they arrived, they discovered an individual who possessed a driver's license with a name and license number that didn't match. It was also revealed that this individual had used someone else's social security number to open accounts. The police took the suspect into custody and transported them to Hopkins County Jail. Interestingly, before the police arrived, an unidentified person had already driven away the vehicle that was initially reported at the scene.

They had ransacked the residence, and the burglars broke a kitchen door and a window to gain entry. A Brother sewing machine in a plastic case, valued at $300, was the only item reported stolen. Attempt to serve warrants results in two arrests
Hopkins County Sheriff's Office deptuies attempted to serve a warrant at an Odom Street residence in Cumby resulted in two arrests Friday. Upon arrival, the Deputies Zack Steward and Michael Chang saw a man walking down the driveway toward a partially open garage door. A male stepped out as the door opened. They yelled at the man to step out. The man identified himself as Chris Hall, the man they were looking for, and took the 32-year-old Cumby man into custody on the warrant for violation of probation.
