Woman shot in back, multiple buildings damaged by gunfire after shooting at Rockford party
A 20-year-old woman was shot in the back and multiple buildings, including the former location of Children's Safe Harbor, were struck by gunfire early Sunday. About 12:25 a.m. Sunday, Rockford Police officers heard multiple shots fired in the 1400 block of 20th Street. The officers were advised that a space had been rented for a party. During the party, gunfire was exchanged between unknown suspects.
