Canadian wildfire smoke chokes Belmont Park

The Belmont Stakes is Saturday, air quality permitting. The smoke from the Canadian wildfires made Belmont Park officials postpone racing on Thursday. Track officials are cautiously optimistic they will be able to run Friday’s card and the one Saturday that features the final leg of the Triple Crown.
