Laker prom royalty honored
Maddux Hall, left, was crowned Indian Lake High School prom king, and Massie Romanowski was named prom queen Saturday evening, May 4, at the junior-senior prom hosted by the Indian Lake High School Class of 2025 at the Winner Harvest Barn. Parents and the public were able to view a Virtual Promenade through a live stream on the IL Facebook page as nearly 230 students entered the event. Ellen Maxine (Bump) Hammond
Ellen Maxine (Bump) Hammond, 84, of Bellefontaine, OH, passed away on the morning of Saturday, April 27, 2024, at her home, following a stay at the OSU Ross Heart Hospital. Ellen was born on May 5, 1939, to Carroll Lee and Thelma Pearl (Bodey) Bump in Champaign County, Ohio. She was the second child of seven. On June 22, 1961, she married the love of her life, Eugene “Gene” Hammond, with whom she shared 53 years of marriage.
WL-S boys prevail at WL-S Invitational
WEST LIBERTY – The West Liberty-Salem boys track squad won the 10-team WL-S Invitational on Friday. The Tigers had 143.33 points and Versailles was second with 104.
