Police say the crash happened on Smithfield Road around 3 p.m.
Investigators say the bus was stopped and dropping off students when it was hit from behind.
Police say a sedan driven by a 45-year-old Belgrade woman was legally stopped behind the bus when it was rear ended by a minivan driven by a 24-year-old Belgrade man.
That crash pushed the sedan into the bus, where it was wedged underneath.
The occupants of the sedan were taken to the hospital and released after evaluations.
The two people in the minivan were not injured.

Police say the bus driver and six children on the bus were also medically cleared.
