Man who pleaded guilty to New Mexico double homicide is recaptured after brief escape
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — A man awaiting sentencing in a double-homicide case was back in custody Sunday after escaping from a juvenile jail in Albuquerque. Bernalillo County Sheriff’s officials said 19-year-old Josef Toney escaped Saturday afternoon from the Youth Detention Center and was taken into custody Sunday morning.
New solar farm completed in Los Lunas
LOS LUNAS, N.M. (KRQE) – PNM and community leaders celebrated the completion of a new solar farm in Valencia County Thursday. The Sky Ranch Solar Energy Center has more than 412,300 panels and can produce up to 190 megawatts of power. That is enough electricity to power 51,000 homes a year. “This project puts us one step closer to our goal at PNM, of being 100 percent carbon-free in the future. We are already more than halfway there,” said Laura Sanchez, executive director of Government and Public Affairs at PNM.
