BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – “On Wednesday, March 22, 2023, WVU Tech will be participating in WVU’s 24-hour Day of Giving. We are challenging alumni, faculty, staff and friends of WVU Tech to donate to our scholarship funds and areas of greatest need.
This year, Tech is seeking donations for the William Benn Student Success Fund, the Golden Bear Athletics General Fund and the Tech Golden Bear Alumni Association (TGBAA) General Fund.Learn more about the interesting life and heroic legacy of William Benn and the fund in his honor. Donations to the Golden Bear Athletics General Fund will support the student-athletes of Tech’s 18 athletic teams. A donation to the TGBAA General Fund is another way to support current and future Golden Bears. The fund supports student needs and funds scholarships and mentorship programs. On the Day of Giving, many donated funds will be matched, so it’s a great day to support the Tech causes you care about. Formerly the student success fund, the William Benn Student Success Fund was renamed this year to honor the legacy of Golden Bear veteran William “Bill” Benn. Donations to this fund help bridge financial gaps, allowing current and future Tech students to complete their degrees.
