Transportation officials say the Highway 99W northbound loop to Highway 217 northbound will be closing Wednesday for a two-month improvement project.
The project will make sure the loop ramp aligns with the new auxiliary lane planned for Highway 217. The closure will start on the morning of May 31.
As a detour, northbound drivers can take 217 south to 72nd Avenue and cross over the highway to the northbound traffic ramp.
The southbound Pacific Highway ramp to 217 will remain open.

The OR 217 Auxiliary Lanes Project will improve safety and reduce bottlenecks on OR 217 by adding auxiliary lanes -- ramp to ramp connections -- between Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway and OR 99W. Work began in December 2021 and will continue through 2025. In partnership with the City of Beaverton and Washington County, the project includes improvements to local bicycle and pedestrian routes.
