Curfew violation: Lake Road
At 3:33 a.m. May 29, an officer stopped a driver for a traffic violation. After speaking to the occupants in the car, it was discovered that none of the teenagers in the car had a valid driver’s license.
The 14-year-old girl who was driving was cited for no driver’s license and minors curfew. The Westlake teenager will face charges.
The two 15-year-old passengers were cited for minors curfew. The Parma residents also will face charges.
Suspicious: Knickerbocker Road
At 2:45 a.m. May 28, a resident reported that a car was parked in front of his house with the lights off.
Officers found the car and discovered a man sleeping in the back seat. The man said he had attended a graduation party at his friend’s house and that the house was full. He decided to sleep in his car rather than drive home.
This was confirmed by the friend, who found a place for him to stay in the house.
Drunk driving: Lake Road
At 3:14 a.m. May 27, an officer stopped a driver for a traffic violation. After speaking with the driver, the officer suspected that he had been drinking.
Field sobriety tests were administered and the 35-year-old Chesterland resident was arrested.
Drunk driving: Vineland Road
At 1:12 a.m. May 27, an officer stopped a driver for a traffic violation. After speaking with the driver, the officer suspected he had been drinking.
Field sobriety tests were administered and the 23-year-old Rocky River resident was arrested.
Disturbance: Manchester Lane
At 10:36 p.m. May 27, a resident reported a very loud party in the area. Officers responded to the area and found an adult party. The homeowner was advised of the complaint and turned down the music.
School bus violation
At 9:05 a.m. May 25, a Bay Village City Schools bus driver reported that someone had passed his stopped school bus while he was loading children. The bus was stopped with its lights flashing and stop sign deployed.
After a brief investigation and reviewing the video, the driver was identified. The 42-year-old Bay Village resident will face charges.
