Severe weather possible beginning Thursday night

Another round of severe weather may be in store for the Twin Lakes Area. A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for Baxter, Marion, Boone and Newton counties in north central Arkansas and Ozark, Howell, Taney and Douglas counties in southern Missouri until 11 Thursday evening.

Meteorologist Dylan Cooper of the National Weather Service office in North Little Rock says thunderstorms are being tracked in Oklahoma.

Isolated showers and thunderstorms are expected to continue once the severe activity moves on, but Cooper says heavier rains will return during the overnight hours.

A flood watch will be in effect for north central Arkansas from 7 Thursday evening through Saturday morning, and a flood watch is currently in effect for southern Missouri through late Friday night. Tune in to KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot for the latest severe weather coverage.
