Eagles Autism Foundation event in Lansdale powers through weekend storms
A weekend nor’easter wasn’t enough to stop two moms from having their highly anticipated fundraising event Saturday in Lansdale. The Eagles Autism Foundation event, slated to take place outside Panico’s Neighborhood Grill & Sports Tavern, was at risk of being cancelled because of extreme rain and wind — until organizers Lauren Fisher and Meghan Eveland came up with a plan the day before. They brought some vendors inside the tavern, and owner Rob Panico utilized the space next door for tattoos, piercings, and tie-dye.

Lingering showers overnight, sunshine and warm weather ahead
This morning is not as chilly as the past few mornings as temperatures are down into the mid to upper 50s. It'll likely be one of those days where our western counties reach around 70 and our eastern areas stay cooler. As the Nor'Easter strengths and heads close to the coast we'll start to feel some impacts. We'll be breezy as winds gust up to 30 mph at times. Rain will also develop today with our western areas getting more dry time today compared to the east.

Rainfall Up to 2 Inches or More Possible for Philadelphia, Reading and Allentown as Coastal Storm Trends Closer to New Jersey, Bringing Periods of Rain Saturday Afternoon Into Sunday
PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA — The weekend coastal storm is trending wetter for eastern Pennsylvania, as some of the latest forecast guidance continues to shift the system farther west. A low pressure center tucked in closer to New Jersey would allow more bands of rain to push into eastern Pennsylvania, raising the potential for rainfall amounts of 1 inch or more. The latest ECMWF model shows 2.20 inches in Philadelphia, 1.87 inches in Reading and 1.66 inches in Allentown from Saturday through Sunday, though forecasters caution this wetter scenario is not yet locked in.
