LSU baseball score vs. Wake Forest: Live updates from College World Series 2023

OMAHA, Neb. – LSU baseball is one win away from the 2023 College World Series final, as the Tigers will face Wake Forest again in a do-or-die matchup at Charles Schwab Field on Thursday (6 p.m. CT, ESPN2).

LSU (51-16) defeated the Demon Deacons (54-11) on Wednesday to force a season-deciding second game on Thursday. Cade Beloso's three-run home run in the third inning was the difference, as the Tigers got 7⅔ shutout innings from their bullpen to seal the victory.

The Tigers also beat Tennessee in an elimination game on Tuesday, 5-0, in order to face Wake Forest on Wednesday.

Wake Forest advanced to Wednesday's matchup after defeating LSU in the winner's bracket on Monday, 3-2. The Demon Deacons came back from a 2-0 deficit after scoring two runs in the sixth and a run in the eighth to take the lead.

The winner of Thursday's game will face Florida in the College World Series final beginning on Saturday (6 p.m., ESPN).
