Tiger Stadium Bag Policy

LSU Tiger Stadium is home to the LSU Tigers NCAA football team in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, 70803. There is a clear bag policy at LSU Tiger Stadium that allows fans to bring in clear tote bags that don’t exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12″ in size. Fans can also bring in small clutch purses and wristlets that don’t exceed 4.5″ x 6.5″ in size into the arena with a clear tote bag. However, traditional backpacks can’t come into the arena with fans for a football game.

Approved Bags

LSU Tiger Stadium, like most NFL and NCAA football stadiums, only allows clear plastic bags inside their venue. Below are the different types of bags fans can bring for a game.

 

• Only a clear tote bag that is no larger than 12″ x 6″ x 12″
• A one-gallon freezer bag/ plastic bag
• Small clutch bag/small clutch purse/ wristlet that doesn’t exceed 4.5″ x 6.5″
• Wallets
• A seat cushion that contains no zippers or pockets and doesn’t exceed 16″
• Medical bags
• Any ADA-specific bag, along with medically necessary items
• A factory-sealed water bottle no larger than 32 ounces

 

My Clear Bag Recommendation + Experience

My recommendation for what type of bag to bring to a game is a clear fanny pack. For me, I like using the fanny pack for games because it is not bulky to wear. Since I’m walking around the venue to grab photos and document the food choices, I don’t want to have a bag with me that is uncomfortable to wear. Also, my fanny pack is 11″ x 6.5″ x 5.9″, so it is very small.

How Does the LSU Tiger Stadium Security Team Review Bags?

Fans arriving at the LSU Tiger Stadium for an NCAA football game will pass through a security checkpoint at the gate before entering the arena. Fans with a bag will go through an additional security checkpoint at the entrance, where the security team will review their bag. The bag inspection process consists of a visual inspection and ensuring no prohibited items are inside. If there are no problems with the bag or the things inside, you will return it to the venue for your event.

 

What are the Prohibited Items that Fans Can’t Bring into LSU Tiger Stadium?

LSU fans heading to Tiger Stadium for a game should know that security staff won’t allow certain items inside the venue. Some things that can’t come into the stadium with fans are below. • Non-clear bags. However, the exception here is small wristlets and clutch bags.
• Clear bags larger than 12” x 6” x 12”
• Backpacks
• Diaper bags
• Glassware
• Coolers
• Outside food and drinks. However, the exception is that you can bring in a factory-sealed water bottle of less than 33 ounces.
• Selfie sticks
• Noisemakers
• Umbrellas
• Weapons of any kind
• Skateboards
• Animals not for ADA purposes

 

Is There a Bag Check or Locker Storage Area at LSU Tiger Stadium?

There is no official locker storage area at the LSU Tiger Stadium for fans to use if they can’t bring their bag into the arena. Therefore, if your bag can’t come into the stadium after the bag check inspection, you must bring it back to your car and leave it inside there. After that, you can get back in line to enter the arena without your bag.

 

If you plan on tailgating in the parking lots at Louisiana State University before a football game, consider leaving all bags behind in a car before getting in line to enter the arena. Traditional coolers and backpacks can’t come into the stadium with fans. However, feel free to bring them to tailgating since there is no problem with that.
