Here with two lane, DH Brendan Lambert now, Brennan, seven years since you guys have last been in *** regional. What does it mean to lead this program back to *** regional and doing it here in Baton Rouge? Yeah, it's super special to get back to *** regional and coach Oman's first year, you know, we set that goal, one of the first team meetings and I think it's very important for this team and this program to return to what it was back in the two thousands. So it's really fulfilling to do it here in Baton Rouge, you know, with me being from here. So I'm just excited for the weekend. It's *** little extra special for you being *** Catholic high kid. I'm sure you grew up watching L S U and getting *** chance to go against L S U now. Yeah, I've been coming to games since I was *** little kid, so it's very special to kind of get over the hump and come to our regional here at this place, this special place, Alex Box and I'm just looking forward to the weekend. The fans are going to be fun, the environment is going to be crazy. So I think we're ready. We're ready for the test. How do you approach *** team? Like L S U? I know it's *** respect but not fear, type of attitude, right? Yeah, you just take it one day at *** time, one game at *** time. This is just *** normal game. Uh So we're just going to go about it the way we've been, we're gonna have *** hitters meeting, we're gonna have *** pitcher meeting. We're gonna do everything the same and we're just gonna try to approach like *** normal game and try to put our best foot forward. How do you continue riding this hot streak from the Ac Tourney that got you into the regional? Yeah, we just keep doing what, doing, what got us successful doing, doing the things with our JB and TB and the coach and is just following their leadership and taking one pitch at *** time. All right, appreciate it. Brendan Lambert at DH for the two lane green wave as they get ready to take on the L S U Tigers the first time they face off in *** regional since 2003.

The Tulane baseball team is headed to the Baton Rouge Regional, the NCAA selection committee announced this morning. The Green Wave (19-40), the regional's No. 4 seed, will take on the top seed, LSU, at 2 p.m. in a game that will be carried by ESPNU. The Tigers are the No. 5 national seed. Oregon State (39-18) will be the regional's No. 2 seed and will face the No. 3 seed, Sam Houston (38-23), at 7 p.m. on ESPN+. Tulane had a storybook week in Clearwater, Florida as it captured the 2023 American Athletic Conference Tournament title with an 8-6 win over East Carolina. The Green Wave came in as the bracket's No. 7 seed and became the lowest seed to ever win the AAC Tourney. The trip to Baton Rouge will be Tulane's 22nd all-time appearance at an NCAA Regional and its first since 2016. The Tigers went 1-2 at the Southeastern Conference Tournament in Hoover, Alabama, entering as the bracket's No. 3 seed. LSU defeated No. 6 South Carolina (10-3) but dropped games against No. 6 Arkansas and No. 10 Texas A&M, both by 5-4 scores. The Beavers lost both of their games in the Pac-12 Tournament, coming in as the bracket's No. 2 seed. They dropped a 13-12 slugfest to No. 8 Arizona and then fell 14-10 to No. 5 Arizona State. The second-seeded Bearkats had to win four consecutive elimination games with back-to-back doubleheaders in the WAC Tournament to advance to the regional. Sam Houston's offense exploded for 72 runs in wins over fourth-seeded Abilene Christian, WAC regular season champion Grand Canyon and third seeded Utah Valley. After eliminating the Antelopes with a 22-8 run-rule victory, the Kats had to beat the previously undefeated Wolverines twice to win the tournament. Sam Houston stayed alive with a 12-10 victory then pummeled Utah Valley 21-1 in the winner-take-all championship game.
