BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Light winds, hot temperatures, and mainly dry conditions are not a good combination when it comes to ozone levels. Once again an Ozone Action Day has been declared for Tuesday. The forecast is currently borderline for Wednesday too. Code “orange” means unhealthy for sensitive groups. People with breathing sensitivities/issues should limit time spent outside.

FIRST ALERT FORECAST: Monday, May 29(WAFB)

The abbreviated work week only shows a 10-20% daily rain chance. Most will remain dry each day. Those that do see rain will only pick up around 0.10″. Humidity levels in the coming days will slowly inch up and up. We stay comfortable through Friday before seeing a noticeable change by next weekend.

FIRST ALERT FORECAST: Monday, May 29(WAFB)

A more typical summer-time weather pattern begins for the first weekend of June. Expect heat and humidity with a few pop-up afternoon t-showers. Rain action will stay scattered in coverage with still the majority of the local area staying dry. Don’t cancel any outdoor plans you have for the upcoming weekend. We don’t see any changes to the weather pattern moving through next week.
