BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Funeral services have been announced for the 11-year-old who was fatally shot on March 16.
City officials say Matthew Fortenberry’s funeral service will be held at the Wilson-Wooddale Funeral Home at 1553 Wooddale Blvd at 11 a.m., March 31. Immediately after the service, a repast will be held at the Charles R. Kelly Community Center at 3535 Riley Street.
Fortenberry’s family asks for thoughts and prayers, as well as efforts to help reduce violence in the capital area.
