Dylan Crews named SEC Player of the Week

The best player in college baseball is racking up the awards. This week Dylan Crews earned the award for SEC Co-Player of the Week. He shared the honor with Florida’s Jac Caglianone.

Crews went 10-for-16 (.625 batting average) with four homers, nine RBI, and nine runs scored. He led the Tigers to a big series win over the Arkansas Razorbacks and Central Arkansas.

Crews leads the SEC with a .531 cumulative batting average, and he is also No. 1 in the league in on-base percentage (.658), slugging percentage (.988), base hits (43), and runs scored (46).

If LSU wants to make it to Omaha this year, it will be depending on Crews to put the team on his back.

The Tigers’ next game is Tuesday night against Grambling, with the first pitch scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CT. This weekend, LSU will welcome the Tennessee Volunteers to Alex Box Stadium. Tennessee is coming off of a sweep of Texas A&M last weekend.
