Social media reacts to LSU coach Kim Mulkey's outfit for Sweet 16 game: 'Part Ric Flair, part muppet'

LSU women's basketball coach Kim Mulkey has always done things her way, and nobody will be able to match her outfit from the Tigers' Sweet 16 game against Utah on Friday.

Mulkey took the sidelines wearing a jacket that had bright pink feathers running up and down the sleeves. The rest of the jacket was a chaotic blend of plaid and a floral print.

This isn't the first time Mulkey has generated reactions with her wardrobe choices. The Hall of Fame coach wore a sweater with "Kiss me I'm a queen" in green for LSU's St. Patrick's Day game last week. This, however, went a step further.

Naturally, the internet had a field day. Ric Flair was mentioned a lot

Maybe the outfit was all part of the plan. Were Utah players distracted?

Just in case anyone's looking to pull off Mulkey's look at a fraction of the price . . .

Mulkey has worn vibrant outfits in big games before. The three-time national champion wore a baby-blue jacket when Baylor won both the 2012 and 2019 titles. This, however, counts as a fashion statement.

How does one follow up a jacket like this? We'll soon find out, as the Tigers outlasted the Utes and advanced to their first Elite Eight since 2008.
