Moorhead entered the postseason unbeaten and looking to make another deep state tournament run. Last season, in their first year competing in Class 6A, the Spuds reached the state championship game before falling short of a title. This year’s team had hopes of making another run, but Prior Lake brought those aspirations to an end with Friday night’s victory.

After the Bison (0-1) led for the first three quarters, the Bulldogs (1-0) scored 28 points in the fourth frame on 58.8 percent (10-17) shooting from the field.
