Batesville girls track concludes season at Regional

The Batesville girls traveled to Franklin Community High School Tuesday night for the Track Regional. At the meet, the Bulldogs broke 4 school records. However, Batesville did not have any athletes advance to the State Meet. The night started with the 4 x 800m relay breaking their previous school record by over 2 seconds, running a 9:33.86. The relay team consisted of Megan Allgeier, Kaylynn Bedel, Kaylie Raver, and Ava Hanson. The 4 x 100m relay of Kamryn Dozier, Ella Carpenter, Madelyn Pohlman, and Katie Lipps broke the school record of 50.67 set in 2014 with a time of 50.57, giving them an 8th place finish. Ava Hanson would be the next record breaker running a personal best time of 59.67 to finish 5th, breaking the 2013 record of 59.76. The final record-breaking race came in the last race of the night, the 4 x 400m relay. The team of Addison Luers, Kamryn Dozier, Kaylie Raver, and Ava Hanson cut almost 3 seconds off from their time last week, finishing in 6th place with a time of 4:07.5

Other ribbon winners for the night were Sophie Myers, who finished 7th in the 1600m run, Emma Weiler, who finished 8th in the 3200m run, and Ella Moster, who finished 8th in the 100 hurdles.
