BATAVIA, N.Y. — The Genesee County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal, multi-vehicle accident in Batavia.
Deputies were called to Route 5 in the Town of Batavia around 6:30 p.m. Friday.
According to deputies, 68-year-old Maryellen Wilber was traveling westbound on Route 5 when her vehicle crossed over the double solid yellow line. Wilber crashed into two vehicles traveling eastbound.
Deputies say Wilber was pronounced dead at the scene. One of the other drivers was taken to ECMC with lower body injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
