An investigation is underway into the second fatal accident in our area over the Memorial Day weekend, one that looks to be the result of a hit and run in Bartow County.

The Georgia State Patrol reports that at 8:20 p.m. Monday, troopers responded to East Pleasant Valley Road to assist the Bartow County Sheriff’s Office with a woman’s body found on side of the road.
