A 2.5-mile section of the roadway from Billy Bob’s Wonderland to Ona Elementary School will be paved at night, according to a news release from the West Virginia Department of Transportation.
Ditching and other work ahead of the paving project was done during the day, but officials said they were concerned with paving during the day due to traffic issues.
“Collectively, we felt it would be quicker, with less congestion and safer for both the workers and the public,” Pennington said in the news release.

Work is expected to be completed before the July 4 holiday.
