Carlina Leonardi Selected to Receive MDI High School Maine Principal’s Award

Carlina Leonardi of Bar Harbor, a senior at MDI High School, has been selected to receive the 2023 Principal’s Award, Principal Matt Haney announced on Tuesday, March 14th. The award, sponsored by the Maine Principals’ Association, is given in recognition of a high school senior’s academic achievement and citizenship.

“Throughout her academic career in our schools Carlina has continually excelled in all that she has done, culminating with achieving a perfect 4.0 GPA in an incredibly rigorous course of study.” Principal Haney noted in making the award. “She very much deserves this recognition.”

Carlina will be taking a gap year after graduation, to pursue her interest in cooking.
