There isn’t exactly a shortage of Mexican restaurants in greater Phoenix. The biggest problem you will have isn’t tracking down a taco or margarita, but instead deciding which is the best option to consider. There are, thankfully, some checks and balances within the Valley, as inferior restaurants are typically weeded out, thanks to the assortment of options. And yet, even still, it can be a challenge to pinpoint a quality Mexican joint if you’ve never been inside. Plenty of restaurants around town have invested heavily into their decor or building design, but that doesn’t have any indication as to the quality of the food. It simply shows an excess of investor dollars bulging out of pockets. Instead, one of the best ways to identify a quality restaurant ahead of time is to dig a bit into who is running the restaurant, and what kind of experience they have. One particular, family-owned Mexican restaurant has been serving the greater Phoenix community for years, and now that family has expanded, with a second restaurant designed to offer locals food that is both delicious and authentic.

More than 180 people have been confirmed infected since attending a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention conference—one that was held for the very same personnel whose job it is to contain rapidly spreading diseases. A meeting of the agency’s Epidemic Intelligence Service at an Atlanta hotel in late April was the origin of the mini-outbreak, The Washington Post reported. The event had 1,800 people in attendance, about 70 percent of whom did not wear a mask, according to a CDC survey.
