BANGOR (WGME) -- A tiny home park in Bangor is finally taking shape.
Cement slabs have been poured for a handful of homes and walls are also going up at the new development on Hammond Street.
The plan for the site is to build 34 individual, 320 square foot homes on a more than 2-acre lot.
The owner says, as a realtor, he's seen the need for housing grow over the last decade, and Bangor officials couldn't agree more.
“When you are sort of in a housing crisis where you don't have enough housing units, any type of housing should be offered to people,” Anne Krieg, the director for community and economic development, told WVII.
The city hopes to have people in these homes by mid-summer but says a lot of work still needs to be done.
