Unemployment falls again in Maine's urban areas

Unemployment rates declined in all three of Maine's major urban areas in April. The federal Bureau of Labor Statisticssays Bangor saw its jobless rate fall from 2.6% to 2.1%. Lewiston-Auburn saw joblessness drop from 3% in March to 2.3% in April. And Portland-South Portland's unemployment rate fell from 2.4% to just 1.8%

Last year in April, the unemployment rates were 2.8% for Bangor and Lewiston-Auburn; and 2.4% for Portland-South Portland.
