Bangor's Best Burger Is at Shakes & Bakes But Another Comes Close

Close to 1,200 votes later, the people have spoken.

Sunday was National Hamburger Day, and the unofficial start of the summer grilling season, but our question last week was which area bar or restaurant does a burger better than anyone else in the Bangor area.

The votes came in fast & furious, and when it was all said and done, Shakes & Bakes, located at 599 Broadway in Bangor came out on top, edging out Governor's for the title of "Bangor's Best Burger."

The beautiful thing about summer in Maine is you have to opportunity to get outside and enjoy all of these fine establishments, and take your own personal taste test, be it burgers, seafood, or whatever catches your fancy!
