Maryland weather: Scattered showers in Baltimore area throughout Wednesday

Scattered showers are expected throughout Wednesday as temperatures drop following the summer-like start to the workweek.

The showers are expected to run into the night, with a 50% chance of precipitation in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor during the day, according to the National Weather Service. Scattered thunderstorms are also expected midday as temperatures reach a high of 70 degrees.

But the sunshine is expected to come back. Thursday is forecast to be partly sunny with a high near 77.

A chance of showers is expected Friday afternoon and night, though the rest of the weekend’s forecast calls for sunny weather and cooler temperatures. Highs are expected to remain in the 60s from Saturday into next Tuesday amid partly to mostly sunny weather.
