Baltimore Shooting Leaves Woman Dead and Man Injured

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND – A woman was fatally shot in Western Baltimore Tuesday evening. A man was also shot. The Baltimore Police Department is investigating the shooting.

Shortly before 6:30 pm, police were on patrol and were near the 1300 Block of Booth Street when the officers witnessed a shooting. At the location, police found a 21-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds to both of his legs. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

An additional victim, 46-year-old Kimberly Benjamin, was found at the intersection of McHenry Street and South Carey Street. The victim was suffering from a gunshot wound to her head. Benjamin was taken to a nearby hospital and died yesterday.


At the intersection of McHenry Street and South Carey Street, an unidentified male suspect was arrested and is now regarded as a potential person of interest by authorities.
