A 39-year-old man was taken to the hospital after being shot in north Baltimore on Saturday evening.

At around 8 p.m., officers were sent to the 500 block of 36th Street to investigate a report of a shooting, said Baltimore City Police Department.

Officers found a 39-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound.

Authorities say medics transported the victim to an area hospital for treatment of his injury.
