Over the holiday weekend, a 27-year-old man was arrested on murder charges in connection to an East Baltimore shooting, according to the Baltimore Police Department.
Police said officers responded on April 4 around 7:30 p.m. to the 600 block of North Milton Street for a ShotSpotter alert.
When officers arrived to the scene, police said they found 21-year-old Jerric Michie suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Michie was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, police said.
Later that same night, police said officers were patrolling at the intersection of Montford and Jefferson Street, when they were approached by a 27-year-old man suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
The man was taken to a local hospital where he was treated for his injury, police said.
Police said on Saturday, May 27, Eastern District Action Team members arrested 27-year-old Devin Wallace in the 500 block of North Glover Street.
Wallace was taken to the Central Booking Intake Facility, police said, where he was charged with first degree murder, attempted first degree murder and various handgun violations.
