The 17-year-old boy who was shot by police earlier in May is now facing multiple criminal charges, including for the gun recovered and assault, according to Baltimore City Police Department.
On May 16th, the department released a video that revealed the teen running from police and pulling out a gun before being shot as he rounded a corner while running from officers.
On May 11. police say they saw a person with "characteristics of an armed person" in the 2500 block of McHenry Street.
Police then chased the teen to the 300 block of South Catherine Street, said authorities.
Police say the boy refused commands to drop the weapon before officers fired their weapons.

The teen is charged as an adult, according to authorities.
Baltimore City Police Department says the officer's actions remain under review.
