Police say an elderly man was taken to the hospital after being shot in Southwest Baltimore on Wednesday afternoon.
At approximately 1:07PM, officers responded to the 1000 block of Lyndhurst Street for a report of a shooting.
When officers arrived at the scene, officers observed a 74-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds to his leg and hand.
He was transported to a local hospital and is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Detectives were notified and assumed control of the investigation.
