The FBI and the U.S. Marshals Service are each offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Roy McGrath. The combined reward is now $20,000. He is now considered an international flight risk.
Officials say an arrest warrant has been issued for Governor Larry Hogan's former chief of staff after he failed to appear in Baltimore for trial on March 13, 2023.
On October 5, 2021, McGrath was indicted in the United States District Court for the District of Maryland for violations of wire fraud and theft or bribery concerning programs receiving federal funds.
During his October 2021 court appearance, McGrath entered a plea of not guilty on all charges and was released pre-trial on the condition that he appear at all scheduled court dates.
On June 28, 2022, a superseding indictment was returned, charging McGrath with destruction, alteration, or falsification of records in federal investigations.
McGrath’s trial was scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. on March 13, at the United States District Court but McGrath failed to appear for trial.
Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts should take no action themselves but should immediately call the FBI's Toll-Free tipline at 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324) or the U.S. Marshals Service office, at 1-866-4WANTED. You may remain anonymous.
