One Dead, One Hospitalized After Overnight Baltimore Shooting

One person has died and another is hospitalized after a shooting in Baltimore overnight, authorities say.

Officers from the Baltimore Police Department were called to a nearby hospital around midnight, Friday, March 24 after receiving reports of two shooting victims.

A 25-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man had walked into the hospital seeking help for gunshot wounds earlier in the night, according to Baltimore police.

The man was pronounced dead by doctors a short time after arrival, and the woman was treated and stabilized, officials said.

Through investigation, officers learned that the victims were shot in the 5400 block of York Road, where officers had received a call reporting a shooting.

Police have not released information regarding any potential suspects or motives.
