Two people were shot within an hour throughout Baltimore on Thursday, according to the Baltimore Police Department.
Police said officers were called to a local hospital around 12 p.m. for a report of a walk-in shooting victim.
When officers arrived to the hospital, police said they found a 46-year-old man suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
The shooting is believed to have happened in the area of 20th at Barclay Street, police said.
Police said the second shooting happened just an hour later in the 3700 block of Eastern Avenue.
When officers arrived to the scene, police said they learned a gunman entered a business and brandished his handgun, demanding money.
A female employee of the business withdrew her own firearm, police said, and a struggle ensued between the employee and suspect over the gun.
The gun discharged and struck the suspect in the leg, police said.
Police said officers recovered the suspect's and employee's firearms and later determined the suspect's weapon was a BB-gun.
Northern District detectives are asking anyone with any information about the first shooting to contact them at 410-396-2455, and Southeast District detectives are asking anyone with information about the second shooting to contact them at 410-396-2422.
