The Baltimore Ravens and star quarterback Lamar Jackson have been at odds for multiple years as the two sides attempted to negotiate a contract extension, and it appears that the relationship between the team and the player has taken a major step in the wrong direction this week.

According to a report from Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, an individual claiming to represent Lamar Jackson who is not certified by the NFL Players Association has been reaching out to NFL teams on his behalf and is even telling teams that he is ready to move on from the Baltimore Ravens.

“As one source explained it, the person has said that Jackson does not want a fully-guaranteed contract. Some regard this as a possible exercise in semantics, with Jackson still wanting a very significant amount fully guaranteed — up to $200 million or more — with one more non-guaranteed year on the back end,” Florio wrote for Pro Football Talk on Tuesday.

“Another source said that the representative is telling other teams that Lamar is ready to move on from the Ravens.”

It’s a massive update all around and the NFL world had plenty to say as a result.

We will certainly have to see how this situation develops in the coming days and weeks.
