Woman killed, driver in hospital after fatal hit-and-run crash, say Baltimore Police

BALTIMORE (WBFF) —
Baltimore City police say a driver is in the hospital, and a woman is dead after she was hit by a pickup truck in West Baltimore last night.

42-year-old Heidi Rose was killed, according to police.
The crash happened in the 1600 block of West North Avenue just after 8 p.m. Rose was crossing the street when she was hit by a pickup truck that fled the scene, according to police.
A short time later, the pickup truck lost control and hit a raised median and a jersey wall, according to police. Police say a 48-year-old man was driving the pickup truck and was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
