BALTIMORE — Another Baltimore City school student was killed by gunfire, this time at a gas station in Northeast Baltimore.

Around 9:47 a.m., police responded to the 2300 block of East Northern Parkway.

On scene officers discovered Breon Traquan Ennis, 20, suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. School officials confirmed he was a student at nearby Achievement Academy High School.

"I’m just happy that I don’t sit outside. I go straight home, to the bus, store, back home," said Tasheena Forbes. "And that’s how you’re supposed to keep it around here. As of lately it’s getting a little bad.”

Forbes was dropping her son off at school when someone shot another mom's son at a gas station near Forbes' home.

This news comes only one day after a student was shot at another Baltimore gas station.

The 16-year-old in that case was injured from a graze wound across the street from Reach Partnership School, less than half-an-hour after school let out.

The week before, 16-year-old Izaiah Carter was murdered in Joseph Lee Park, near where he attended at Patterson High School.

"It’s crazy - because I have nieces and nephews in the city. I have to worry about basically catching a bus out here every day, or catching a bus down the street. Gotta watch your back,” said Daquan Walton, a Baltimore resident.
