An Alabama man is dead after a pursuit with law enforcement ended in a crash on Highway 31 in Baldwin County Saturday morning.
According to ALEA, a single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 11:17 a.m. Saturday, March 25, has claimed the life of a Huntsville man.
While attempting to elude law enforcement Zachary Allen Cook, 39, was fatally injured when the 2005 Infiniti QX56 he was driving left the road and overturned.
Cook was not using his seatbelt at the time of the crash, was ejected, and pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on U.S. 31 near the 14 mile marker, approximately five miles south of Bay Minette, in Baldwin County.
Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continues to investigate.
