Man stabbed, killed outside of Union Avenue hotel identified

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/FOX58) —
The man that was stabbed and killed outside of a hotel room on Union Avenue on May 18 was identified as Moses Lee Campbell, 47, of Bakersfield.

The Kern County Coroner's Office said Campbell died due to a stab wound, after an autopsy.
On May 18, at 7:13 p.m., Campbell was allegedly assaulted by David Nutt, 51, of Bakersfield.
Nutt was arrested that night and booked into the Kern County Jail on first-degree murder charges. He is being held without bail.
Nutt is due to appear in court on June 8 for a preliminary hearing, according to the Kern County Index.
