Wendy's New Breakfast Burrito With Sausage is Tasty, but...

Wendy's introduced a new breakfast item about seven months ago, a breakfast burrito with a Baconator mindset... The new menu item features two eggs, SIX strips of bacon, breakfast potatoes, two slices of American cheese, and Swiss cheese sauce, all rolled into a warm tortilla.

With the success of that item, Wendy's has now doubled down with another breakfast burrito item, swapping out the bacon, with sausage. It's a sausage lover's delight. Here's the description from the Wendy's website: Fresh-cracked grade A eggs, grilled savory sausage, American cheese, and seasoned potatoes smothered in a creamy cheese sauce and wrapped in a warm flour tortilla with Cholula® Hot Sauce on the side.

That's what I had for breakfast this morning and it's frick'n tasty! This thing is LOADED and will definitely keep you full until lunchtime. The sausage is all pork (none of that hybrid turkey/chicken stuff) and the eggs were cooked to perfection. The seasoned potatoes were spot on, with a light crispy exterior and fluffy spud interior. Complimenting those flavors were the melted American cheese slices (2), paired with the Swiss cheese sauce. The warm tortilla had a perfect fold and topping everything off was the hot sauce. It was a delightful breakfast.

Costing me $5.04 with tax, I'm giving the Wendy's New Breakfast Burrito with Sausage 3 out of 5 Bachelor on the Cheap Stars. While it was frick'n delicious, and very reasonably priced, it packs 2220mg of sodium, that's 97% of the recommended daily intake in one meal! That factor prevents a repeat buy.

The Wendy's visited on this occasion is located at 3601 E Harry St, Wichita, KS 67218. I hit the drive-through at about 9:30 am. The service was fast and friendly, and kudos to the kitchen for a perfectly crafted breakfast. The preparation was excellent, no typical, sloppy fast food prep here, my burrito was crafted with care.
