Food Review: Never Any! Country Style Chicken Breakfast Sausage

    2024-07-07

Looking for alternatives in an attempt to eat a little healthier and reduce my consumption of red meats, I had chicken sausage links for breakfast this morning.

Never Any! It's a brand available at my favorite place to grocery shop, Aldi. It's a weird name in my humble opinion, why name your food products "Never Any!"... Leaving you with the thought of "out of stock", "not available", or "can't get any." It's aptly named however because the products they crank out have no antibiotics, no hormones, no nitrates. It's a healthier eat. Here's their promo hype: Antibiotics? Never. Added hormones? Never. Artificial ingredients? Never! Never Any! offers more than 20 high-quality meats at affordable prices.

And they're frick'n tasty! This is perhaps the best-tasting chicken sausage I've ever sampled, and I've sampled quite a few over the years.

The sausages are fully cooked making them super easy to prepare and have a simple ingredient list: Chicken, rosemary, sea salt, parsley, spices, brown sugar, and vinegar.

There are NO ingredients on this list that you can't pronounce, nor is there a long list of colorings or preservatives.

I enjoyed two sausage links with freshly baked biscuits, two eggs over hard, topped with American cheese. The sausages were juicy, there was a nice little snap with the casing, and you get the notes of rosemary and spice in each bite, balanced with a very slightly sweet hint of brown sugar and a little twang from the vinegar. This is a very good sausage.

With an online price of $4.19 (remember, Aldi prices are cheaper when shopping in-store) for an 8-ounce package, I'm giving Never Any! Country Style Chicken Breakfast Sausage 5 out of 5 Bachelor on the Cheap Stars. It's a healthier eat that's easy to prepare and most importantly, they're tasty! This is a repeat buy and I look forward to sampling other Never Any! products.

    $pend Wisely My Friends...
