Seattle man to compete on "Golden Bachelorette"

The contestants for the upcoming ABC dating show "The Golden Bachelorette" were announced Tuesday , and Seattle's got some skin in the game.

Driving the news: Kim, 69, is a retired Navy captain from Seattle who will compete for the heart of 61-year-old Joan Vassos on the reality show, which focuses on older contestants looking for love.

Zoom in: Kim, whose last name wasn't provided, "loves spending time on his sailboat" and "is an excellent whistler," per Tuesday's announcement.

"His ideal date night includes cooking dinner together and enjoying it in the backyard."

What's next: The first episode of "The Golden Bachelorette" premieres Wednesday, Sept. 18, on ABC.

Well if she doesn't choose him, I'll go out with him! My grandkids have a 42 ft sailboat, we could go out sailing with them or race them LOL!! Just kidding, right now they are on a 3-year trip, and are in Tahiti!
